Leadership

Born in KY, Chris has been with First Methodist Church since March, 2024.  He is married to Dana.  He has 3 grown children:  Alex (Beverly), Cierra and Ben.  Chris is a graduate of Western Kentucky University and Asbury Theological Seminary.  Chris enjoys sports (just about all of them), movies, kayaking, and donuts.

Laurie is a native of Atmore, Alabama.  She attended University of Alabama and Asbury Theological Seminary.  Laurie has served in various ministry positions for over 30 years.  She started with First Methodist Church in December, 2024.

Jolene serves as our Office Administrator.  She is the "voice" you will hear when you call into the Office.  Jolene joined our Staff  in May, 2019. She is an active member of Liberty Baptist Church in Pineview, AL. Jolene and her husband, Shawn, have 2 sons, Mason and Garrett. 

Connie has served as Choir Director since 1998 and directed hand bells for 16 years. Connie is a Music Graduate from Troy University.  Along with her responsibilities as Choir Director of First Methodist Church of Brewton, Connie is the Band Director of Jay High School in Jay, FL. Connie has 3 children, 6 grandchildren and 1 cat.

Mary Ellen has served as pianist for First Methodist Church of Brewton since March, 2000.  Her love for playing for churches began at the age of twelve. Mary Ellen is the mother of 4 grown children and has 7 grandchildren. Her favorite place to be is working in her flower beds. 

Debbie is a native of Andalusia, AL. She and her family relocated to Brewton in 1995. Debbie is a member of First Baptist of Brewton. She has 1 daughter, Erin and 4 boys, Nick, Tyler, Dylan and Andrew.. 

David serves First Methodist Church of Brewton in many capacities and is loved by everyone. He and his wife, Linda, work alongside of each other making sure that the grounds, of both the church and the parsonage, are immaculately kept. His hard work and attention to detail are greatly appreciated.  David started with the Church in 1980.
